Roaming in Karnataka - Random Photos

While staying in Bangalore had trips to tourist places in Pondy, Mysore, Hassan and Shravanbelgola by car. On the way several photos were clicked of which some are here. These do not have any sequence of places or time but are random shots taken by mobile phones. Have a look:

Incredible India indeed. This scene was totally unexpected! This small church is set in a beautiful place called Nellyady. This pic was snapped while on way to Mangalore on NH-48.

The road ahead disappears! Pic taken on NH-7 to Chennai.

Monsoon is in full flow. Hard life for my friend here as paddy season is on. Snapped on a rural road to Belur
Minar & minarets. A hill on NH-7 to Chennai

Papaya & coconut plantation somewhere on NH-66 to Pondichery

Part of Kamath Restaurant on Banglore-Mysore Highway

A couple of horses. Wooden ones rather. Older pair on the right & newer one on the left. Several such pairs found on way to Pondichery on NH-66. They might have been used in some cultural or religious functions
Somewhere near Krishnagiri on NH-7. Such dhabas do a marvelous job of integrating India better than even politicians

Hot chocolate ice-cream scoop on NH-7 to Chennai

Coming soon Spanish food - on NH-75 to Hassan.

Get ready to shell out toll for NH-75. Coming up shortly

Rainbow over Whitefield, Bangalore. It did not sustain long though & disappeared quickly.

This pic is from Shravanbelagola hilltop Jain temple complex having 57 feet tall statue of Bahubali. The statue was constructed in the year 931 and has been voted for top place in seven wonders of India in TOI survey. Instead of preserving & respecting the temple here we see that entire wall has been vandalised.

The breezy cool weather of Bangalore invites you for a walk everyday. But footpaths are not well maintained. In addition there is never ending infra digging work

Colourful pipes being laid for internet

Dark monsoon clouds gather over exhibition ground of Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation, Whitefield, Bangalore
Toll free road for all near Halebidu, Hassan

Wine shops using names of Gods are common in Karnataka. This one Hanuman Wines is on NH-75 to Hassan
Never ending road

Merchandise in the truck - coconut is unaffected by monsoon rain

Bangalore & nearby districts are on a plateau 900+ meters above sea level & there is continuous breeze 24*7. Good to see that wind mills are being installed for clean energy. This snap was taken on way to Hassan from Halebidu.
