Subathu town is part of Solan district & is located on Shimla Hills. And Shimla Hills are part of Shivalik Range of Himalayas. Subathu is 66 km from Chandigarh via Kalka & Dharampur & is at a hight of over 4000 ft. It was unusual to have rain in May. But it did rain in the afternoon & resulted in half rainbow which lasted for few minutes. Some pics:
